Estamos en plena temporada de lluvia. En el Oeste de la isla esta lloviendo casi todas las tardes. Para los que sembramos y vivimos en las zonas rurales del tropico humedo, esta temporada trae muchos retos en el diario vivir, sobretodo en las fincas manejadas ecologicamente.La abundancia de la lluvia alimenta cada planta, cada organismo vivo y todo crece sin abonos o composta. Los machetes no dan a vasto para la competencia con los bejucos y las malezas que crecen sin control. Es el tiempo de observar la naturaleza.
We are in the rainy season. In the West coast of the island is raining almost every afternoon. For the ones that live and grow food in the rural zones of the humid tropic, this season brings many daily challenges, especially en the farms which management systems are ecological.
The abundance of rain feed each plant; each live organism and everything grow without fertilizers or compost. The “machetes” are not enough to compete with the wild vines and the weeds that grow without control. This is the time to observe nature.
